The Secret Confessions of the Applewood PTA (Avon A)
by Ellen Meister

When I saw this book on Melanie Lynne Hauser’s Take Out List, I knew I had it at home, and decided to give it a read. It was a fast read with a cute premise that quickly built into something more. It was a little Desperate Housewives, Soap Opera and a slice of real life in any town U.S.A.

The Lazy Enivronmentalist (Stewart Tabori & Chang)
By Josh Dorfman

It was more than just an interesting read about green living, it was a resource book. I will definitely keep this handy as I could see me referencing it time and time again. You really can start to make a difference with a book like this in hand.

Luncheon of the Boating Party
By Susan Vreeland

This is one author that translates an art masterpiece into a literary masterpiece. I have enjoyed other books by Susan Vreeland but this was my favorite.

Swapping Lives (Plume)
By Jane Green

A fun read about something we have all dreamt about, at one time or other in our lives. What if you could switch places and lives with someone, someone that you believed would have a more exciting life then yours. The two main characters, Vicky and Amber, have the opportunity to step into each other lives and they take us with them on their journey.

Unnatural Causes (Warner Books)
By P.D. James

Adam Dalgliesh again, only this time, the murder is a mystery writer.

A Mind for Murder (Faber and Faber)
By P.D. James

An old fashioned murder, set in a Psychiatric Hospital. This a short easy read, but the red herrings are great.

A Taste For Death (Seal Books)
By P.D. James

This is one of her best books. Once again, Adam Dalgliesh solves two murders. Politics, and the architecture of an historic Church set the style.
